Deuteronomy 28:3-6
" Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground
and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle and the young
of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading trough. Blessed shall you be when you come in and blessed shall you be when you go out."
This post is going to be over multiple verses this time. They are speaking on the fullness of the Blessing. These are some of my favorite verses because they tell me what He has already promised me. All I have to do it believe His Word!
Let's start with verse 3. "Blessed shall you be in the city and Blessed shall you be in the field." This is pretty much saying that anywhere you are you will be Blessed. I will be Blessed at my job and anything that my hand touches in the field. To me this field could mean the actual field that you farm or it could be the occupation or work you do or your ministry. If you are a minister your field would be your congregation. You sow into them every week and you should expect for them to learn and grow and prosper. When we go into our work place we should be Blessed. Everything we do should be done unto the Lord. Wherever you go you should be prospering. I know everywhere I go I want to be Blessed!
"Blessed shall be the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock." Deuteronomy 28:4 (AMP)
We shall be Blessed in whatever we do! My favorite part of this verse is "Blessed shall be the fruit of your body." Our children are to be Blessed an healthy all of the days of their lives. "The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children" Psalm 115:14
I felt like God wanted me to share this : For those of you who have lost a child, there is hope for God to Bless you with more children. He want to increase you. He says in Psalm 115:14 "He SHALL increase you." He also said in Exodus 23:26, "None shall lose her young by miscarriage or be barren in your land; I WILL fulfill the number of your days." I just want to encourage you to stand on His Word and tell the devil NO! God can and He will Bless you with another child. All you have to do is Stand on His promises.
"The fruit of your Ground will be Blessed." All of my gardens and trees will flourish! Whatever we sow will Blessed if it is sown in to good ground. Like sowing into a ministry that is reaching people and changing lives you will see Blessings from that seed sown. "And the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep." This simply means that you will be extremely productive in all you do! If you are not a farmer then what else do you do? You can be extremely productive during the day doing whatever job you do! Do you know what extreme means? Extreme means- Reaching a high or the highest degree, utmost, maximum, enormous, extraordinary. Don't you want to be extremely Blessed? I know I Do! Genesis 13:2 (AMP) "Abram was extremely rich in livestock and in silver and in gold."
"Blessed shall your basket and your kneading trough." Blessed shall you be in whatever you have! You know a basket hold reserves, surplus, increase, and overflow. When Jesus fed the 5,000 they gathered up 12 basket fulls of surplus! (John 6:12-13) He promises that we will always have more than enough. Just trust Him! A kneading trough is the preparation place for what is daily consumed. Matthew 6:11 "Daily bread." So whatever you have will be Blessed. So whatever I have which could be many things will be Blessed. If you are a business owner your business will be Blessed, if you are a Pastor your ministry will be Blessed. He will Bless whatever you have.
"Blessed shall you be when you come in and Blessed shall you be when you go out."
Blessed shall you be wherever you go. I love this verse! Such an awesome promise from God. When I go out and return to my home I will find that nothing has harmed my family nor my home or land. When I go out my way shall be made prosperous before me and I will have the divine Blessing in all of my labors. Psalm 121:8 (NKJV) "The Lord Shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore." He said this more than once in the Bible so you know He wants to get this across. I believe that God will always Bless me in my coming and in my going. It is up to me and you to speak this over our lives! He does the rest!
A great story that demonstrates the fullness of the Blessing is the story of Joseph found in Genesis 39:1-6. God Blessed him wherever he was. Joseph was a slave yet the Lord Blessed him. God made whatever he did prosper and made it all to flourish. The Lord Blessed whatever he had and Blessed him wherever he went. Verse 5 says, "The Blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house and in the field." I would encourage you to read this story. You can see it in just these six verses that God Blessed Joseph and He wants to do the same for you and me!
We can all live in the fullness of the Blessing! We must trust in the Lord! We must read His Word, speak the Word, and obey what He is telling us! Then we can experience the Blessing! I can look on my life and see where the Lord has Blessed me already! I am also expecting greater Blessings in the future. Always growing and always learning!
