The Blessing Clearly Seen

Deuteronomy 28:9-10
"The Lord will establish you as a people holy to Himself, as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.
And all people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name [and in the presence of] the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you."

These two verses show us just how much God loves us and wants to Bless us!
Verse 9 says, "The Lord will establish you as a people holy to Himself."  The Word establish in Hebrew means: raised up to become a powerful people; to bring them on the scene. The word Holy in Hebrew means: Set apart, consecrated, purified, protected from ruin. So we are people set apart given God's Blessing so we can Bless others!

"He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey;" Deuteronomy 26:9

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9

I have to ask myself what does it mean to be holy? The Hebrew definition PURIFIED is what I think of. God is daily cleaning out the polluted words, guilt, and evil thinking and replacing it with the good, with Himself! I feel like sometimes we don't want to use the word "Holy" to describe ourselves. Like we feel it is only a word reserved for God. God wants us to be Holy though. He wants us to be growing more and more like Him every single day! When we make Him the Lord or our lives we became holy, We became protected by ruin. God is good!

"Then all the nations of the world will see that you are a people claimed by the lord, and they will stand in awe of you." Deuteronomy 28:10 (NLT)

Verse 10 says that people will see that we are His children. How will they see this? By the way He cares for us. He takes care of us,  He makes provisions for us, and He protects us! Look at this account of someone being able to see God's Blessing. "
One day King Abimelech came from Gerar with his adviser, Ahuzzath, and also Phicol, his army commander. 27“Why have you come here?” Isaac asked. “You obviously hate me, since you kicked me off your land. They replied, “We can plainly see that the lord is with you. So we want to enter into a sworn treaty with you. Let’s make a covenant. Swear that you will not harm us, just as we have never troubled you. We have always treated you well, and we sent you away from us in peace. And now look how the lord has blessed you!” Genesis 26:26-29 (NLT) They will see that we are prospering, enlarging, increasing, and walking in overwhelming abundance of God in every realm of life! If we are not prospering , if we are living in poverty are we truly going to be able to be a Blessing to others? I know a lot of people think that money is a bad thing. God didn't say that it was a bad thing though, He said the "For the  Love of money is the root of all kinds of evil."  "For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows." 1 Timothy 6:10 (NLT) There is nothing wrong with having money unless it consumes you!

This statement is great! "The God they see in us should cause a reaction in them." George Pearsons
So are they seeing  God in us, in me? Am I living in a way that makes a person say, "I want what she has?" Everyone will one day realize that God is the Source of ALL strength and Blessing.

"When the queen of Sheba realized how wise Solomon was, and when she saw the palace he had built, she was overwhelmed. She was also amazed at the food on his tables, the organization of his officials and their splendid clothing, the cup-bearers and their robes, and the burnt offerings Solomon made at the Temple of the lord." 2 Chronicles 9:3-4 (NLT)

"Wherever you set foot, that land will be yours. Your frontiers will stretch from the wilderness in the south to Lebanon in the north, and from the Euphrates River in the east to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. No one will be able to stand against you, for the lord your God will cause the people to fear and dread you, as he promised, wherever you go in the whole land."
Deuteronomy 11:24-25 (NLT)

"Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed.” Isaiah 61:9 (NIV)

These promises above are excellent! So know that God is your Source! Not you job, not the government, and you are not in this economy. You are in God's  Economy! That is something to shout about! God's supply is unlimited!

I love reading these verses in Deuteronomy 28! It gives me Hope for my future and it reminds me about what God has done in my life!  I want to live in holiness!  I want people to see God in me and want Him! I know I haven't been doing the greatest job of this lately and it is time to change that! So let's do this together! Let's commit to spending more time, more quality time, in the Word! Together we can become more like God and become a person that others can see Jesus in!

God Is Amazing and the Glory belongs to Him!!

This will probably be a short post but I had to share this. It is November and the month for giving thanks to God for all He has done in our lives. This past weekend on Saturday night I was thinking back on this past year and all that God has done! The Lord gave me a word through someone this year and when this man gave me this I knew it was straight from the Lord. I had been struggling with a lot of fear this time last year through the first of this year and I had finally made up my mind that I wasn't going to live in fear anymore! No Fear has become a hashtag I use often! I went to a healing prayer session in February and I walked out a changed person! I didn't have that fear anymore that was dragging me down! I took that step and forgave people and stepped into where God wanted me to be. Which was in His presence. So just a couple of weeks after that in early March,  this word was given to me.  God said some things to me that had me in tears! The first thing He said was that the family members that I had been praying for would be coming into the Kingdom of God. I have seen this manifested over just the past few months! My cousin got saved earlier this year soon after this word was spoken and my other cousin got saved just a few weeks ago! My aunt is going to church now and I know it is just a matter of time before she knows the Lord! I am still praying for the other few family members that don't know the Lord. There will be people set in their paths that they will listen to. It has been really awesome to see God work in this way this year! I can't thank God enough for bringing my family members into the kingdom of God! To Him be all the Glory!
Another part of the word was that I would be healed emotionally and be set free! This was happening at that time and I can honestly say that I am free from the fears that I struggled with! Now I am not saying that fear doesn't try to come on me, but I refuse to let it! "Perfect love casts out all fear!" Not only did the Lord set me free from fear and doubt but He has let me dream again! I was lacking that and feeling defeated so you have no idea how amazing it is to just have hopes and dreams again! Once again I have to give God all the Glory!
God said that I will be doing something for Him that only He could make happen! I haven't seen this fulfilled yet but I know it is coming! One other thing  I have to share is that He told me I was smart! That very day I had basically been called stupid by a coworker. God knows exactly what we need and right when we need it! This timely word "You are smart," was just what I needed! Now anytime I feel like a complete failure and that I am not the brightest person, I can remember what God says about me!

So I wanted to share this with you so it would give you hope! Hope in Christ! Know that He will speak to you and He does still work in and through you! I am so grateful to the Lord for saving my family members and I am expecting to see the rest of them come to know the Lord! We are going to spend eternity together!

"May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope." Romans 15:13

Please feel free to share your testimony below! This is what changes lives, the sharing of our testimony!

Glory Be to God!!

He Will Command The Blessing

"The Lord shall command the Blessing upon you in your storehouses and in all that you undertake. And He will Bless you in the land which the Lord your God give you!" Deuteronomy 28:8 (AMP)

This verse speaks volumes to me! It is so full of truth and promise from the Lord. We are to have storehouses. God wants us to be so Blessed that we have overflow! I think this verse should give us hope and faith that God can do amazing things in our lives.
The word command in the Hebrew language means "to give an order, charge, or decree." So in this verse God is going to order the Blessing to come on us and not just a little but overflowing. "The Blessing is a declaration which empowers someone to prosper and succeed in everything they do." (George Pearsons) What a statement! The Lord wants me to prosper and succeed in everything I do! Proverbs 10:22 says "The Blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow to it." I love that verse! Just knowing that my Lord doesn't want me to have sorrow or despair. He just wants to Bless me! In Genesis 1:28 God told Adam to be fruitful, multiply, to replenish the earth, to subdue it, and have dominion over it. Since God never change and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, then the sames things He told Adam holds true to us. He wants us to be fruitful, to multiply, and to replenish the earth. He also wants us to subdue it and have dominion over it. To subdue means to conquer or overcome. He wants us to overcome the earth! Dominion means the power or right of governing and controlling. God gave us the authority to tell the devil to get out of our lives! Anything that the devil tries to bring against us we can combat with the Word of God and take authority! Isn't that exciting news??
I have already mention this once but we are to have storehouses. Storehouses are multiple places where goods and wealth are stored. This could be bank accounts, investment accounts, or anywhere else where something of value is stored. God will protect and multiply whatever is in those storehouses. I have to share the new living translation of this verse. "The Lord will guarantee a Blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain."

So the second part of this verse is the Lord will command the Blessing upon all that you set your hand to do. So everything you undertake will succeed and prosper. That means whatever you do! You could be a business owner, dog trainer, photographer, pastor, mom, etc.. That is so encouraging to me! "The Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything." (Deuteronomy 2:7, NIV) We will never lack anything because He is always with us! "here, in the presence of the Lord your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything you have put your hand to, because the Lord your God has blessed you." (Deuteronomy 12:7, NIV) "Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours" (Psalm 128:1-2, NIV) When we fear the Lord and walk in His ways we will eat the fruit of our labor and Blessings and prosperity will be ours. That gets me really excited. This is why I strive everyday to walk in His ways! I want to be Blessed! "And may the Lord our God show us his approval and make our efforts successful. Yes, make our efforts successful!" (Psalm 90:17, NLT) He shows us His approval and makes or efforts successful. With all of these verses telling us how He wants to Bless us and make us prosperous in everything we should know it is for us! He wants and He even says He will Bless us. He doesn't say it just once either, He says it multiple times.

The Last part of this verse  says He will Bless us in the Land. "The Lord your God is giving you the land, and he will make sure you are successful in everything you do." (Deuteronomy 28:8, CEV) This translation of this verse gets me super excited. I am believing God will give me land with a house on it so this verse is something I pray and speak into my life. In Genesis 26:12-13 (NLT) it gives and account of Isaac getting a hundredfold return on his crop. This is the same thing God desires for us. I love that He desires to Bless me abundantly  even in my shortcoming.
Deuteronomy 28:8- "With health and long life in it, and with abundance of all good things, it being a land flowing with milk and honey."- John Gill's Exposition of  the Bible
I really like the way that he puts it. With health and long life. That is what I want and what God wants for me.
I want to encourage you to read these verses that tell you what God wants to do for you. It is up to you to speak the Word and believe and God will do the rest. I will leave you with this statement: "What is Blessed can't be cursed."- Gloria Copeland

The Fullness of the Blessing

Deuteronomy 28:3-6
" Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading trough. Blessed shall you be when you come in and blessed shall you be when you go out."

This post is going to be over multiple verses this time. They are speaking on the fullness of the Blessing. These are some of my favorite verses because they tell me what He has already promised me. All I have to do it believe His Word!

Let's start with verse 3. "Blessed shall you be in the city and Blessed shall you be in the field." This is pretty much saying that anywhere you are you will be Blessed. I will be Blessed at my job and anything that my hand touches in the field. To me this field could mean the actual field that you farm or it could be the occupation or work you do or your ministry. If you are a minister your field would be your congregation. You sow into them every week and you should expect for them to learn and grow and prosper. When we go into our work place we should be Blessed. Everything we do should be done unto the Lord. Wherever you go you should be prospering. I know everywhere I go I want to be Blessed!

"Blessed shall be the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock." Deuteronomy 28:4 (AMP)
We shall be Blessed in whatever we do! My favorite part of this verse is "Blessed shall be the fruit of your body." Our children are to be Blessed an healthy all of the days of their lives. "The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children" Psalm 115:14
I felt like God wanted me to share this : For those of you who have lost a child, there is hope for God to Bless you with more children. He want to increase you. He says in Psalm 115:14 "He SHALL increase you." He also said in Exodus 23:26, "None shall lose her young by miscarriage or be barren in your land; I WILL fulfill the number of your days." I just want to encourage you to stand on His Word and tell the devil NO! God can and He will Bless you with another child. All you have to do is Stand on His promises.
"The fruit of your Ground will be Blessed." All of my gardens and trees will flourish! Whatever we sow will Blessed if it is sown in to good ground. Like sowing into a ministry that is reaching people and changing lives you will see Blessings from that seed sown. "And the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep." This simply means that you will be extremely productive in all you do! If you are not a farmer then what else do you do? You can be extremely productive during the day doing whatever job you do! Do you know what extreme means? Extreme means- Reaching a high or the highest degree, utmost, maximum, enormous, extraordinary. Don't you want to be extremely Blessed? I know I Do! Genesis 13:2 (AMP) "Abram was extremely rich in livestock and in silver and in gold."

"Blessed shall your basket and your kneading trough." Blessed shall you be in whatever you have! You know a basket hold reserves, surplus, increase, and overflow. When Jesus fed the 5,000 they gathered up 12 basket fulls of surplus! (John 6:12-13) He promises that we will always  have more than enough. Just trust Him! A kneading trough is the preparation place for what is daily consumed. Matthew 6:11 "Daily bread." So whatever you have will be Blessed. So whatever I have which could be many things will be Blessed. If you are a business owner your business will be Blessed, if you are a Pastor your ministry will be Blessed. He will Bless whatever you have.

"Blessed shall you be when you come in and Blessed shall you be when you go out."
Blessed shall you be wherever you go. I love this verse! Such an awesome promise from God. When I go out and return to my home I will find that nothing has harmed my family nor my home or land. When I go out my way shall be made prosperous before me and I will have the divine Blessing in all of my labors. Psalm 121:8 (NKJV) "The Lord Shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore." He said this more than once in the Bible so you know He wants to get this across. I believe that God will always Bless me in my coming and in my going. It is up to me and you to speak this over our lives! He does the rest!

A great story that demonstrates the fullness of the Blessing is the story of Joseph found in Genesis 39:1-6. God Blessed him wherever he was. Joseph was a slave yet the Lord Blessed him. God made whatever he did prosper and made it all to flourish. The Lord Blessed whatever he had and Blessed him wherever he went. Verse 5 says, "The Blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house and in the field." I would encourage you to read this story. You can see it in just these six verses that God Blessed Joseph and He wants to do the same for you and me!

We can all live in the fullness of the Blessing! We must trust in the Lord! We must read His Word, speak the Word, and obey what He is telling us! Then we can experience the Blessing! I can look on my life and see where the Lord has Blessed me already! I am also expecting greater Blessings in the future. Always growing and always learning! The Blessing Will Overtake You!

Deuteronomy 28:2 "And the Blessing shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God."

So what is the Blessing? The Blessing is anything good. So anything good that has happened to you or that has been given to you. As I look back on my life I see just how Blessed I truly am. I was raised in a Christian home, in a nice house, I was fortunate enough to have never been to public school, I was able to complete to associate degrees debt free, and I have a nice car. I am Blessed! I am thankful to God for all his many Blessings in my life.

Psalm 103:1-5 (NKJV) "Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s."

I love these verse for so many reasons. First of all worshiping Him is always a great time and it always renews my soul and spirit.  Also letting Him know I will never forget His benefits. His grace and favor abound everyday. It says He forgives me, heals me, redeems my life from destruction, He crowns me with loving kindness and tender mercies, He satisfies my mouth with good things, and He renews my youth like eagles.

2 Peter 1:3 (AMP) "For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue)."

He has bestowed good things upon me, things that will bring glory to Him. He likes to give us things that we enjoy. You may enjoy motorcycles or cars. God wants to give those things to you so you can enjoy them. I think we can bring glory to God with these things. For instance with the motorcycle you can start a riding group that goes and ministers to people. We just must make sure God gets the glory for everything. He has equipped me to do those things He has called me to do as well. I love that even though I don't feel like I am worthy of something, if He has called me He has given me the ability to do the thing.

Psalm 84:11 (NKJV) "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly."

You can't really have a favorite verse in Psalm but this one is up there towards the top. He is my light and my shield (my protector). He will always protect me as long as I am walking with Him. This is such an awesome promise! He said He would give grace (favor) and glory to me. He will not withhold any good thing from me if I am walking with Him. This is a promise worth shouting about! We should get so excited about this! He promises us every good thing! That means health of body, soul, and mind. That means every good thing here on earth. I love this statement from George Pearsons, "'All These Blessings' include everything it will take to empower us to succeed and prosper in everything we do."

Look at this version of Deuteronomy 28:2 (MSG) "All these Blessings will come down on you." He is saying they WILL come on you!

Ezekiel 34:25-27 "And I will confirm with them a covenant of peace and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land, and [My people] shall dwell safely in the wilderness, desert, or pastureland and sleep [confidently] in the woods. [Ps. 127:2b; Isa. 11:6-9; John 14:27; 16:33.] And I will make them and the places round about My hill a blessing, and I will cause the showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing [of good insured by God's favor]. And the tree of the field shall yield its fruit and the earth shall yield its increase; and [My people] shall be secure in their land, and they shall be confident and know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bars of their yoke and have delivered them out of the hand of those who made slaves of them."

These verses tell so much about the goodness of God. "There shall be showers of Blessing" The word shower in Hebrew means to pour down and rain violently and in the Merriam-Webster dictionary it means a falling of things from the air in thick succession in great and large quantities. Now that is something that gets me excited! Blessings will come to me quickly and in great quantity! I really want you to wrap your head around this one. God want to prosper you in everything and He wants you to be Blessed in everything you do. He is your daddy and He wants to give you things everyday just as you would want to give your child something. Some days it may be little things that make you smile and other days He might give you big things that make you shout! HE WANTS TO BLESS YOU!

Malachi 3:10 "Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. [Mal. 2:2.]"

I really love this verse. The first time I ever read it I got really excited about it. He is basically daring you to trust Him with your money. I could probably do a whole blog post on Malachi 3 but I will save that for another day. This verse tells us How He will open the floodgates of Heaven. How would you like that to happen? I know I would love that to happen. The CEV says "I will open the windows of heaven and flood you with Blessing after Blessing." I want that! I want Him to pour out Blessing after Blessing on me straight from Heaven!

I have never read what the meaning of overtake you in Hebrew is. It means take over your life, overwhelm you, engulf you, pile up on you, cover you over and load you up with an an excessive amount, avalanche, heap, swamp, overflow, flood. I was blown away by this meaning. This is what I want in my life! I want Jesus all over me and engulfing me. He wants to engulf me in Blessings. One story that comes to mind is the story of Peter in Luke 5:6-9 (NLT). He brought in a boat sinking load of fish. God Blessed Peter with an overwhelming amount of fish. One thing about this story is that God gave Peter directions and Peter had to obey to get his Blessing.
The last part of Deuteronomy 28:2 says, "If you obey the voice of the Lord your God."(ESV) Just like Peter had to obey we must obey as well. The Blessing can only manifest when we obey. You know Peter probably didn't want to go back out after fishing all day long and catching nothing, BUT when Jesus said go, Peter went and the Blessing overtook him. I love this statement, "Obedience to His voice opens the door for the Blessing to overtake us." The Blessing will always supply the best. I want to always have the best so I must always listen to the voice of the Lord.

Isaiah 1:19 (NIV) "If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land"

I have already said this once but I want you to get it! God is your father and He wants to give you His best! As a parent don't you want to give your child the best? Well He wants to do the same for you! He loves you so much He want to give you things, the Best things! We must believe that!

Once again I want to leave you with an awesome statement from Gloria Copeland.
"To obey what He says, you have to Know what He says and receive it."

So get in the Word today and find out what He has for you!!

The Blessing Will Set You on High

So I told you I might do several blog posts on The Blessing found in Deuteronomy 28:1-14. Well I have decided that doing that would be a good idea for both you and me! We can learn together. I want nothing more than for myself and other to be living in The Blessing. I want to be living in such freedom that people want what I have. I say all the time that I want to be Blessed (physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially) so that I can be a Blessing to others. Sure there are things I want to but do you know what gets me really excited? Blessing others. I want to be able to give cars to people, give money for school or groceries, and even houses. I want to be able to give freely no matter what the needs is. These verses found in Deuteronomy 28:1-14 will bring revelation to me as I dig deeper. It will give me the words I need to speak to have the Blessing manifest in my life.

So today I want to talk about Deuteronomy 28:1. "If you will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth." So the first thing I see in this verse is there are conditions to the Blessing. I must listen to the voice of the Lord and obey Him and then the Blessing can come to pass. It seems like just yesterday, even though it has been a couple of years, where I really struggled to hear His voice. I learned that He is always speaking but I wasn't always taking the time to listen. These verses tell me that that I can hear the His voice.
"But blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) are your eyes because they do see, and your ears because they do hear." Matthew 13:16 (AMP)

"The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me." John 10:27

"I will listen [with expectancy] to what God the Lord will say, for He will speak peace to His people, to His saints (those who are in right standing with Him)–but let them not turn again to [self-confident] folly." Psalm 85:8
The devil would always throw lies at me that would say, "You can't hear the voice of God." I began to tell the devil, "NO, I can hear the voice of the Lord." I still struggle some now but I know what to do now and that makes all the difference. When he tries to come at me I know how to get him to go away!

The second part of this verse talks about how we must obey His commandments. This is usually the hardest thing to do. God will ask me to do something and I want to obey but my flesh says that it is to far away or to hard. The list really could be endless. What I have learned is that it is really better just to obey immediately. The longer I dwell on something and mull over it in my mind the harder it is to obey what He originally told me to do. I have also learned that it is not enough just to read the Bible. I must do what it says. God wants me to be Blessed and prosperous in every area of my life and He wants the same for you. We have to get in the Word, know what it says, and then obey what the Word says.

"But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it." James 1:22-25 (NLT)

"This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success." Joshua 1:8 (AMP)

"God will set you on high above all the nations of the earth." I believe this for our nation. Proverbs 11:11(NIV) says, "Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed." So what are we saying about our country? Are we speaking Blessing or cursing? We need to be speaking life over this country and start praying for the leaders. I also believe this verse is very relevant to what is happening in Israel right now. He will lift them high above every nation. He will do what He says in Deuteronomy 28:7, 12 (NLT) He will keep them and protect the. We need to be praying for Israel right now and always!

"The lord will conquer your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction, but they will scatter from you in seven!"
"The lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them."

This last part is truly exciting to me! We have been set on High with Christ.
Ephesians 2:6 (AMP) "And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One)."
Ephesians 2:6 (NLT)   "For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus."
When I first learned this I got really excited about what this means. Even on earth I am set on high because Jesus died for me. Colossians 1:13-14 says, "[The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins." This verse is awesome! We have been set on high in dominion over the powers and principalities. We have been made to rule over darkness. Do you know what this means? We have authority over the devil and every evil thing. If he tries to bring fear, sickness, anxiousness, poverty, etc. on us all we have to do is say is "NO devil! I am healed, I don't have a spirit of fear, I am prosperous, and I have no need to worry because God is on my side." Ephesians 6:10-14 tells of all the power we have been given. Even when we feel like we have done everything and have been standing for a long time, we should continue to stand! Just knowing that I have authority over the devil is awesome! Knowing that I can say what God says and the devil has to obey me! It is life changing!

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. herefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness." (Eph. 6:10-14, NKJV)

I want to leave you with this quote from Gloria Copeland.

“We have authority in the Name of Jesus, and we rule over darkness. But,
we have to rule. If we don’t want the devil coming into our affairs, our bodies, our marriages, our finances, we have to say, ‘You’re not coming in here, Devil.’ We have to stand our ground, and we have to say right words.” —Gloria Copeland

So lets take a stand against the devil and tell him to get out!!!

The Enemy Will Flee from You Seven Ways

I have been listening to Pastor George Pearsons and Gloria Copeland the past couple of weeks. They have been speaking on the Blessing of Abraham in Deuteronomy 28:1-14. According to Galatians 3:13-14 this Blessing has come upon us through the death of Jesus Christ. all we have to do is have faith in His promise!

"Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified); [Deut. 21:23.]To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, the blessing [promised] to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive [the realization of] the promise of the [Holy] Spirit." (Galatians 3:13-14, AMP)

So there was one verse in particular that stuck out to me this time. The crazy thing is earlier that week I had read that verse and it really struck me. When you see a verse twice in a week you know God is speaking to you. Deuteronomy 28:7 says, "The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways." The word "smitten" here means:  sudden, quick, decisive fatal blow with the intent to utterly conquer and destroy. What a promise! 1 Samuel 17:49 is a great example of a quick decisive blow that resulted in victory. "And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth." After Goliath was slain the entire army fled. Exodus 23:22 (ESV) tells us how He will be any enemy to our enemies and an adversary to our adversaries. "“But if you carefully obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries." Exodus 23:27 (NLT) says, “I will send my terror ahead of you and create panic among all the people whose lands you invade. I will make all your enemies turn and run" Knowing that He goes before me and causes my enemies to flee is awesome! I want to define flee just so you get more of a sense of what it is saying here. Flee means to chase away; drive away; fain (gladly, willingly), flee away, put to flight, make haste (quickly run away), panic. Imagine a person running quickly away and they are running every which way just to get away.

Here is another version of Deuteronomy 28:7 in the Message translation. "God will defeat your enemies who attack you. They’ll come at you on one road and run away on seven roads." I really like the way the version says your enemies will run away from you on seven roads. So what is so significant about about the number 7? I had this question when they first brought this up when they were teaching. In the Bible the number 7 means perfection, completion, and total victory. Did you know that there are seven redemptive names of God? I certainly didn't. Each one of these names defeat  the seven major lies that the enemy tries to to bring against us. "They will run away  on seven roads." I am going to share with you these names and a little about what it means to me.

The first enemy that is defeated is the enemy of lack. Jehovah Jireh- The Lord will provide. The story of Abraham and Isaac in Genesis 22:13-14 (NLT) is a perfect example of how the Lord will provide. Abraham believed wholeheartedly that He would provide a way out of having to kill his only son. Abraham believed in the promise that he would be a father of many nations. What great faith he had. Throughout the Bible there are a countless number of times where the Lord provided. We as Christians can believe that the Lord will provide for us everyday! "Then Abraham looked up and saw a ram caught by its horns in a thicket. So he took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering in place of his son. Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh (which means “the lord will provide”). To this day, people still use that name as a proverb: “On the mountain of the lord it will be provided.”

The second enemy that is defeated is the enemy of sickness. Jehovah Rapha- The Lord that heals. The Lord promised us that as long as we listen carefully to Him and obey Him, He would not allow the diseases of the Egyptians( the world) to come upon us. "He said, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the lord who heals you.” Exodus 15:26 (NLT) I wish everyone would grasp this! God wants you healed and healthy all the days of your life. Think of it this way, if you are sick how can you be out spreading the gospel? It benefits not one for you to be sick. You can go read more about how to claim your health here.

The third enemy that is defeated is the enemy of failure. Jehovah Nissi- the Lord our banner and victory. Exodus 17:8-15(NLT)  "While the people of Israel were still at Rephidim, the warriors of Amalek attacked them. Moses commanded Joshua, “Choose some men to go out and fight the army of Amalek for us. Tomorrow, I will stand at the top of the hill, holding the staff of God in my hand.” So Joshua did what Moses had commanded and fought the army of Amalek. Meanwhile, Moses, Aaron, and Hur climbed to the top of a nearby hill. As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. But whenever he dropped his hand, the Amalekites gained the advantage. Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset. As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle.
After the victory, the lord instructed Moses, “Write this down on a scroll as a permanent reminder, and read it aloud to Joshua: I will erase the memory of Amalek from under heaven.” Moses built an altar there and named it Yahweh-Nissi (which means “the lord is my banner”)." When we feel like a failure we can always shout the Lord is my victory! He will make everything work together for my good. (Romans 8:28) "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."
The fourth enemy that is defeated is the enemy of worry. Jehovah Shalom- The Lord our Peace. Judges 6:24 (NLT) "And Gideon built an altar to the lord there and named it Yahweh-Shalom (which means “the lord is peace”). The altar remains in Ophrah in the land of the clan of Abiezer to this day." There are so many verses in the Bible that say don't worry. So many people worry about every little thing. When you  understand how much the Lord loves you, you will understand the peace that comes with it. There is nothing He can't do for you. This kind of goes back to how He provides for us. We have nothing to worry about.
"Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully." (1 Peter 5:7, AMP)

"Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail)." (Psalm 55:22, AMP)

The fifth enemy that is defeated is the enemy of confusion. Jehovah-Ra-ah - The Lord my Shepherd. Psalm 23: 1-3 (NKJV) "The Lord is my shepherd;I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake." I have dealt with a lot of confusion. I know it is from the enemy but sometimes I still struggle. These verses remind me that He is here with me guiding me along the the path He has for me. I am thankful that He is always there and that as long as I look to Him there will be no confusion. He leads me!

The sixth enemy that is defeated is the enemy of condemnation. Jehovah- Tsidkenu- The Lord our Righteousness. Jeremiah 23:5-6 (NLT) “For the time is coming,”says the lord, “when I will raise up a righteous descendant from King David’s line. He will be a King who rules with wisdom. He will do what is just and right throughout the land. And this will be his name: ‘The lord Is Our Righteousness.’ In that day Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in safety." Through His sacrifice we were made righteous. Romans 5:9 says, "Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ's blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God." This shows just how much He loves us. Even in all of our messiness He still loves us. He still wants us and He chose each one of us for a purpose. Once we receive His gift of grace we can live with Him. He doesn't remember any of your sins any longer.
"For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” (Hebrews 8:12, NKJV) So when condemnation comes you can tell the devil to get out, I am the righteousness of God.

The seventh and final enemy that is defeated is the enemy of fear. Jehovah- Shammah -The Lord is There. Ezekiel 48:35 (NLT) “The distance around the entire city will be 6 miles. And from that day the name of the city will be ‘The lord Is There.'" This has been my biggest struggle for me in the last year. The devil came at me with a crippling fear and I let him have his way for months. It was to the point where I was physically sick. One day I just said, "NO MORE!" I started speaking verses like 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control." and 1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love's complete perfection]." over myself. The Lord has done a miraculous work in my life since then. I am healthy and free from fear. The devil still tries to creep in with fear but I know how to stop him dead in his tracks. There is no turning back! God  has promised me a long, healthy life that is free from fear! I choose that! Knowing everyday that the Lord is There with me is enough for me. Everyday He shows me something new and I don't every want that to stop. I will continue to seek His face everyday until the day I die or He comes back for us.

There is one last verse I want to leave with you and it seems fitting for the story I just gave. James 4:7, "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you [as in Stark (complete) Terror]."  The devil will flee from me in complete terror!  God is greater than anything we will ever face and the devil has to flee from God!

So I thought this was awesome and I had to share. I might do more blog posts on each verse in Deuteronomy 28:1-14. I am going to dig deeper in to each verse and learn more about God's promises.  I would encourage you to go to www.kcm.org and listen to these broadcasts on Deuteronomy 28:1-14.
